Why Summer College?
Summer College is an exclusive opportunity for academically talented
high school Sophomores and Juniors to live and learn on one
of the most beautiful college campuses on the East Coast.
From early July to mid-August students live together in a University residence hall,
take courses for college credit, and enjoy the independence and excitement that
can only be found at a top national university. Courses for
Summer College, taught by University faculty, are designed to encourage students to expand
their knowledge in new directions and to provide a supportive environment where learning
is valued for its own sake.
Summer College is under the direction of the University of Delaware Honors Program.
The Honors Program serves intellectually and academically venturesome students through
small classes, academic scholarships, superb teaching, Honors housing, and many other
programs - not to mention contact with some of the most interesting minds on campus.
